Yea..didn't work for me...still have white background when I hit start.

Did you download a black image? Select the image and make the transparency to 0 and you are ready to go.. hope it helps

yea I already had a black image on my phone...set transparency to 0....and everything..I even soft reset it...when I did and when the OS was loading up...I saw my black image..then my wallpaper loaded...I click start and it's still white

This only works for the landscape mode Start Menu, the horizontal Start Menu is still slightly greyish/black.
