you should try spb mobile dvd it can convert dvd and other files such as divx and such the quality is great and you usually have a file from 180 to 450 megs in size i currently have about 14 movies and counting on a 8gb memory card

i always try to convert to .mp4 it plays in regular windows media player and is less of a hassle, and i go with a resolution of 184x320, yes they work like this on the touch pro also and they look great.

I use CloneDVDMobile by SlySoft with 320xXXX resolution depending on wide screen or not for the other dimension. I tried 640x480 but the frame rate was poor.
