How to do a hard reset ??

Excuse my "newbieness", but how exactly do you do a hard reset ? I've got a new TP and a lot of the threads I've read recommend doing this with a new phone. Thanks.

vol button down + OK button ( center ) + power button
hold them all at the same time and use stylus to reset your phone on the bottom

tricky but works just fine

you have to keep holding them until u see the msg on the screen

Using the stylus never seems to work for me.

What works for me is to turn the phone off (power is off, not just asleep) Hold the volume down and ok (center d-pad) and power button until the phone turns on and a message is displayed to press the volume up button to restore. Then follow instructions.

when i was new i used the search, why not him? i used the search and in 2 min. i found 3 threads. so when hes a senior he will know how to search? i wasent rude, i asked him to please use the search because this has been answered allready. next time he may use the search and answer his own question and fix his problem and be happpy he found it on his own.

I've done 3 hard resets and never had to hit the soft reset button. While the phone is OFF....hold (in this order and keep holding), vol down, OK button, then power button untill a white screen with instructions appear then stop holding the buttons. Then it will ask you to hit the vol. up button to complete the reset.
