I agree with this. The process is so tedious. I had to look at the manual to find out that I need to make a playlist and then play it! I didn't know I had to open the stupid playlist and click on the first song. What if I just want to add one song to now playing? Or I just want to listen to one album? Then I'd need to create a new playlist, scrolling through 6 gb of music? It's the only thing I don't like about the music tab.

I am using a bluetooth stereo headset:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XT3L7W

Don't know if that has anything to do with it? But like I said before, whenever I hit the power button it disconnects everything, even active sync.

WTH?? I just tested it and now it works...I don't understand why it was cutting everything off earlier?

Oh well. I am running the stock ROM btw.

I do have another issue though. I sync'd my music with windows media player to my microSD card. When I go to the music tab nothing shows up and it says searching... and stays there. I've updated the libraries in Windows media player on my phone. I'm sure it'll fix itself if I do a soft reset but will that be necessary every time I sync my music to my PC?

Looks like I'm in same boat as you. When I hit the button it pauses the music on me.

That's messed up. Cause mine just started working out of the blue. Try going to your today screen and then hitting the power button. That's when it first worked for me.

Re: Listening to music with display off

I have core player and it doesnt cut off there. More importantly, i use s2p (slide to play), its made by the same guy that made s2u2.

He has it integrated so that when you press the power button, the screen cuts off but you still have control over whats playing buy hitting the dpad and center button. You can cut it back on but it will go straight to the lock screen, that just so happens to have playback controls on it. Its a nice set up for when its cold outside or you just dont want to look at your phone to change songs.
