sprint navigation
 

is there any way to have this running for no charge each month? i currently have a sero plan, but if i try to open the sprint navigation, it tells me i have to pay monthly. any ideas?

I don't know about running Sprint navigation for free, but how about using another GPS Mapping program, like Google Maps or Windows Live? You can get it for free...

hey i called sprint and they have me a link to go to, to download a full version of the sprint navigation, which i assume was the same as whats on the phone already, HOWEVER once i did do it and installed it, it no longer told me about the charges. I was wondering the same thing and they said its included in the plan. I have the unlimited individual plan.

It is free. You probably could have just agreed to the monthly fee, and it would not show up on the bill. CS told me it is free as well. I just have PowerVision

also you can just go to http://gospv.com/nav via your elegant TP and just download it from there. The link i provided will just send a txt to your phone saying to go there. Hope you have the same success that i did.

haha... I clicked on the gospv link from my PC and it said "Your Sprint Handset is not supported at this time." I should have known better!

Not quite sure if this will work...it only says first day is free...so after that you will be charged or get the same message saying you're going to have to pay to use it.

I have unlimited data yet when I just downloaded it it said I needed to pay for 24hrs or a month.... :(

No it says "Download & the first day is free*" in big and bold. Then it says
*Sprint powervision and data plan is required....

1) you wont be charged i talked to a 'billing agent' who told me i wouldnt be i just had to do the download

3)idk why it said that to you nurse, if you have an unlimited data, you will be fine, if it comes up on your bill go *itch at them and they will take care of it, thats if and only if it shows up...

unlim. data, no need to do anything your good. navi is free. use it, then check your charges using *4 from dialer.

I think you guys are confusing SERO (which has unlimited DATA) with Simply Everything plans which come with Navigation. SERO does not support navigation, if you get lucky the rep might take off your charges one month, but I seriously doubt you can add the app to your phone and expect them to take off the monthly charge. The only thing unlimited data from sero gives you is the free unlimited kb usage ....

btw, will we be prompted to verify that we want to purchase after a day? I don't want to be billed right after my first days use for it. Definitely not worth 10 a month for me.

trust me, im not. i went over this with sprint to confirm. i have a diamond and pro and use sprint navi on both with no charge. no sero and no everything plan. i do it every month. ill show you my plan and my bill.

I think you have a separate unlimited data plan and not an EVDO casual data plan like the SERO users? Maybe thats why your situation is different...correct?

that link has nothing to do with how you are/or are not charged. That just basically updated my phone, making it shut up about how ill have to pay if i use it. What DOES matter is the plan you have and if you can use it based upon that.

Well after using that link, I contacted Sprint to see if I was going to be charged after 1 day and they said my account shows no signs that I would be charged for it. So, hopefuly it prompts me.. if not I will still use it and then if it shows up on my bill I will explain that I don't want it heh.

The standard data vision plan ($15/month) gives you access to Sprint Navigation for $3/day. You can also upgrade your data vision plan to the navigation vision plan ($20/month) which gives you the exact same features in the data vision plan plus unlimited sprint navigation. That's what I did as googlemap does not give you voiced turning instructions or the other featues of sprint navigation like traffic rerouting, dynamic route changes and voice feature to set destination.

i have the everything 450 plan which includes unlimited data.

will i be charged for using the program?

well i am the original thread creator---i re-downloaded it from the link that i received and it now works. i have a sero plan, if tomorrow it asks me to pay for it again, i will just re-download it again. it didnt take more than 1minute to download and install. so if that is happening to people, try re-installing, maybe it resets everytime. that doesnt seem that hard. if you know your going to need navi that day, then do it. or use google maps. i also wanted to thank everyone for helping me out on this subject. thanks

it wouldn't let me continue without paying. I don't have a SERO or an unlimited everything plan. I have a set # of minutes, unlimited data and unlimited text. I have no idea why it won't work for me. I've used it before as a trial and liked it so it would be nice if it was included in the data.

use your navi for alittle and then dial *4 to see if your being charged. thats how i found out.
