Re: sprint navigation
ok i am on the phone with customer service right now as we speak.
and they said if you are on any of the "EVERYTHING plans" sprint nav is free, unlimited use. *downloading from that link i posted earlier, enabled the program to not ask me to pay for anything. it just starts up and runs! |
Re: sprint navigation
Yes that is correct. If you aren't it's hard to say. I will try it out the next day or two and see what happens hehe.

This is what I was trying to tell you Darren...you need to be on an everything plan to have this for free...this is what Sprint told this person I quoted as well. I wasn't trying to ask too many questions, I apologize if you think I was..was just letting you know that this is what Sprint says about the navigation program...since you said otherwise I wanted to check and see how come they told you different. |

Re: sprint navigation
I have the SERO $30 plan and when i ran the program after it verified my account it told me I had 5 days left on my trial.

Re: sprint navigation
I downloaded it from the link. It doesn't matter where you get it the program obtains your account information before it let's you begin.
|
Re: sprint navigation
It gave you a 5 day warning? Strange, that didn't happen to me...guess I'll find out on my next bill...
|
Re: sprint navigation
this is takin for ever to load to my phone ~~~~

Re: sprint navigation
does anyone have the cab? I just try both of the links but it didn't work...

Being that I have the SERO $30 plan and nav in my car anyways I'm not mad that they won't give this to me for free but why couldn't they list the program under the "Uninstall Applications" damn it. |

You can pay $2.99/day or pay $9.99/month. Or subscribe to a Siimply Everything plan and it's included. I listened to one of the idiots in CS who told me "Don't worry about the message saying you'll be charged per day" (when I wasn't subscribed) and got billed $2.99 every time I used it. But, it's absolutely the best Navigation option IMO. No need to download maps that take up 2GB, it has real time traffic |

Re: sprint navigation
Yeah, I just launched the app again and says I have 5 days free left after that its 9.99. I think I will just uninstall it.
|
Re: sprint navigation
You cannot get this for free. It checks your account every time you launch it. But $10 per month is well worth it for this program. Any decient GPS is going to cost close to $200 so $10 month is worth it. No outdated maps ever and real time traffic. Only drawback is you need to have data available for it to work. I have Tom Tom loaded as a backup.

Re: sprint navigation
On my Sprint Razr, it would keep resetting, at one point it told me I had 48 days left on my 15 day trial.

Re: sprint navigation
I'm getting in on this thread late, but it seems like people are still having problems. If you have Simply Everything or the Everything Data 900/450, unlimited Sprint GPS Nav is included with your package. I bought my Touch Pro at Best Buy and had them put me on the Everything Data 900 plan, but wound up getting the error like alot of people here - "$9.99/mo, $2.99/day to continue". Customer service gave me the same line about, "Blah, just tell it ok and it will work." It never worked, it just kept erroring out. I downloaded the Telenav program like other people, but that never worked. ***End result: I did a hard reset on the advice of a friend (which obviously would have sucked if I had the phone for longer than a couple days.) The Sprint NAV program gave me a trial notice for the first 5 days, which is now gone, and the program has worked without issue for 2 weeks. It's a PITA solution, but buying another program seemed stupid since I'm already paying for Sprint's.

Re: sprint navigation
I DO NOT have everything plan. I DO have unlimited data. I just took a trip to Louisville and needed to use the sprint navigation and it absolutely charged me $11 to use twice. I'm pretty pissed, but they will likely take off the charges. The point is.... it IS NOT FREE unless you have everything plan. Maybe some people get lucky and it isnt charge for what ever reason, but it is not free by policy. PEACE.

Re: sprint navigation
at first glance, that geoterrestrial program is pretty nifty.
i wonder where they get the maps from? is that just basically google maps? i really -love- the weather that follows you. i've been wanting that for a long time. but i want something that integrates with, well, everything else. liek, wouldn't it be neat to somehow tie the weather location to the touchflo3d weather panel? |

Re: sprint navigation
What the hell? I'm hearing 4 different things here...
IS THIS or IS THIS NOT included with a standard plan's internet package? |
Re: sprint navigation
what the hell is a powervision plan? i think they stopped calling it that a while ago.
there is the basic "Vision" which is just data. then there's the vision "premier" pack, which is like an extra 10 or 15 a month, and that includes navigation, nfl, tv, and a buncha other stuff. if you only have data and want sprint nav, that's $10/mo. mapquest, when it gets going on the pro, is like $4.12 a month or somesuch. |
Re: sprint navigation
I have an "Everything Data 450" plan and it is free for me.
|
Re: sprint navigation
Amongunz - I'm not sure if you have an old rate plan, but if you have either of the "Everything Data" plans (450/900) or the "Simply Everything" plan, unlimited Sprint Nav is included. Please see the first line item at: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/en/stores/popups/everything_popup.shtml

Re: sprint navigation
I haven't heard anything about shared plans. I'm on the T/M/D Share 1500 and was told by the rep that navi was unlimited. Is it or is it not?
