Look through Opera:Config (type in URL field and press enter) and open each catagory. I thought I remember seeing some option that would keep Opera from using the sensor.

Re: Disable Sensors

Couldnt find it anywhere in those groups of settings. Anyone have a specific subsection it might have been in that i missed?

EDIT:

Solved.

From http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...7&postcount=10
Edited registry HKLM\Software\Opera\GSensor\IdleTime to a very large number like 1000000.

That was easy!

Re: Disable Sensors

Thanks for the disable G-sensor hack. I'm glad to hear that this DOES appear to improve battery life. I use AE Buttons plus to quickly manually totate the screen anyway (I have a double press of the phone key mapped to rotate clockwize 90 degress, and have checked 0 and 90 as the only rotation angles), so I don't think I'll miss this "feature" at all.
