Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?

I use Mobil Shell. It's way more customizable and VERY resonsive when compared (for me) to TF3D.

Now if Juicy can just get it working correctly with his ROM, I'm really back in business.

Yes with other applications as well. There is an overall reduction in lag system wide after turning off TF3D on my device. The memory footprint as u put it seems irrelevant as The TP has plenty to spare. The problem being is that TF3D is a crappy poorly written UI that does cause system wide lag. And last time I checked I didnt mention anything about the standard WM UI so u can keep that irrelevant comment BS to urself. I personally use HTC Home and UltimateLaunch which I can configure just like TF3D with more functionality, no lag, and is way more customizable easily. BTW, how is comparing the standard WM UI and TF3D not relevant if I did mention it? This thread is about TF3D which is a UI isnt it?. Inappropriate and irrelevant? And to say people have a mental hang-up about it? I think your couple of posts are inappropriate and severley irrelevant. You can keep all that down talking to urself as its not useful at all.

That is not true at all really. I have a tweaked out Sprint TP flashed & activated on Verizon service (I dumped Sprint after two years of TERRIBLE coverage/service etc). My boss has the VZ version of the TP (that I tweaked for him).

I think his phone is ugly, but if you run his side by side with mine running the exact same apps there is no noticeable speed difference between the two phones.

Re: Who is tired of TF3D and are not using it anymore?

It seems an anger management thread would be helpful to some. I am not too sure how you're measuring "lag" other than personal oppionion which seems to really favor what your oppionion already(which is ok) but it would be nice to quantify lag rather than just throw the term out all the time. I myself used UltimateLaunch and found it very nice and customizable BUT there were issues that many found that are in the thread about UL. I don't think you can say that UL is more customizable than TF3D in reality because I can actually configure UL as a option while running TF3D but you can't do that out of UL. There is sooooo much more that TF3D brings to the table and for me especially the joy and eas factor but that is completely subjective on my part and others. I can understand if a few just won't except something new. But it is obvious that TF3D is the future format and this is where most of the techies are developing over at XDA. Addressing this "lag" issue, it does sound like some have what they believe is lag and feel TF3D is to blame, I don't dispute that, but know that so many others are not having this issue and actually find it quit responsive and fast. The problem may lay with other issues you are having setting up your ppc. I look forward to seeing the new devolopement of UL or any over platform the non-TF3D geeks will develope that will provide a reasonable alternative to TF3D.....I may use it in TF3D if its good enough. btw, I don't use UL in TF3D, I don't think I would gain anything by having it.

Good coverage and 23% discount on everything.

I haven't been able to compare my VZ tp to my co workers Sprint Tp recently since he's on vacation. But every time his is a bit faster, hopefully with the last few tweaks we'll be close.

been using TF3D from day one, happy. might try out the HTC home plugin if it's one cab and uninstallable.

Don't worry, if you make all the speed tweaks to your xv6850 it will run just fine.

My boss is very happy with his vz phone (after I tweaked it all out for him). I bought the Sprint version to use on my vz account because I am a tweaker/cracker etc at heart & I love messing with this stuff. My boss is just the opposite however, he just wants a phone that works & need a warranty etc etc so going the way I did was never an option for him.

In some ways, I like his phone better than mine. I hate the Sprint TP hardware KB & never use it (I use TouchPal in portrait with T-9), but even with the odd layout of the vz KB I still like the larger buttons much better than the tint Sprint setup.

And what exactly makes the smaller keyboard with more buttons worse than the bigger keyboard with the most god-offal setup of them all? I also have big hands and it took me 2 days to get used to the hard KB. Care to give it a go for less than a week?
