WOW... I couldn't imagine losing that much music. I remember the first time I messed up my iTunes and was dumbfound, until I found a utility to reload from my iPod. I was so happy lol. But sounds like your situation was different.

Manual transfer will be my way. Do you just use windows explorer or Windows Media Player or what?

I just hit the explore button on ActiveSync, navigate to my music folder and drag 'n drop them in.

Yeah luckily when you plug in the TP via usb it asks if you want to hook up with Activesync or as a disk drive. I have been using disk drive so that it treats it like a flash drive or mass storage device like you said, and the transfers are faster than Activesync, at least to me.
