Re: Used Up Pro Memory???

You need to do a few things to get it under control:

1. Opera is in \Windows and you need to monitor the cache folder \Windows\Opera9\cache, clean up regularly with Memmaid and set it as a custom one since the default Opera cache will not find it.

2. All your email and txt msg is default in \Windows\messaging, I suggest to move it outside of the Windows, use registry editor or SKTools to do that.

3. All your IE cache is in \Windows as well, use SKTools to move it out.

The bigger the \Windows, the slower your phone so it is always a good idea to make sure its size and number of files are reasonable.

Re: Used Up Pro Memory???

Thank, that cleared up about 4mb. Not much, but still useful.

For those with MemMaid, when you view your storage usage and expand the Windows folder, do you have a grouping of files at the bottom of that list? This is where most of my memory is being used. The Windows folder itself is showing 321.93mb; when I expand it and scroll past all the folders (all with very low storage usage), at the bottom past the folders is a gray icon showing 4k+ files at 216mb...

Any other ideas before I just hard reset this thing?

Re: Used Up Pro Memory???

Time out....I set MemMaid to clean the mail attachments...now I'm back up to 161mb free, wooha!

Thanks much for the help, peeps, and for not insulting my intelligence, which I see happens a lot here. TRULY appreciated!

However, any memory tips and suggestions are STILL welcome!

Well, if you feel like purchasing Memmaid, you can assign the quick clean option to your long-end key press. So whenever you feel you could clean out some of your junk, just hold the end key and it will run the mini clean app.

Do you have a large Page Pool? I don't think that should eat program memory, but not sure.
