Disable screen wakeup on SMS
 

My screen wakes up on SMS. I prefer it not to.

I read this

Wake Up on New SMS --> HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL : DisableSMSWakeUpEvent <-- set to "1" by default. Change value to "0"

The touch pro defaults to "1" but my phone screen still wakes up on SMS.

Yea, I've had the same problem.. It's been all over the forums, and it seems like the registry change works for some but not for all.. The only problem is that I can't figure out why it isn't working for me, whether it's a program causing it, etc..

I would love keep my screen off on SMS as well. The problem for me is that this KEY doesn't even exist in my registry??

I even tried adding it, but that didn't do anything.

I saw this option in DiamondTweak, but it didn't work on mine either. I think its more of a GSM thing.

Although, I would be ecstatic if anyone made it work!

The registry tweak to disable wakescreen on SMS does not seem to work for the Touch PRO. Screen still turns on when a SMS is received. *frustrating seeing your battery drain and not know it* lol

I had the same issue. I found the lock function (hold END). The screen wakes up on a text but it doesn't allow button presses and turns back off after a bit.

I wasn't successful with this either, someone plz figure this out! its annoying... haha

tried both sepreately with my 2nd line on my TP, neither woke when getting a text

Not sure its the same for the mogul as it is for the Touch Pro though

edit:: Can you reconfirm the screen does not wake on sms on the Touch Pro
