Those aren't for screen wake-up. Unfortunately, it may be related to how CDMA handles message reception.

I saw that... I am a fan of leaving it like it is as I would just turn it on to read the TM.

weird.when i first got my phone, the screen wouldnt wake up on new SMS. I did the registry change to enable it. Now reading this thread, im trying to disable it and it doesnt work?!?

Are you sure they were text messages and not emails? Because mine just rings when it receives an email.

yeah ive been sending tester texts to myself from the sprint website. Out of curiosity, i wanted to see if it would disable and no luck so far

Ya guys if you have a CDMA device all of these fixes I run into don't work... I have tried everything I can think of and everything I've read up on and nothing works... :(

Same here, Sprint Touch Pro, can't stop device from waking up on new SMS!
really frustrating, since this wakes the screen, and programs are launched in your pocket.

Could this be a "feature" of TouchFlo 3D. It seems to do a lot of things that I hate. How about a way to disable it?

Its not a feature. It's a requirement, I believe. It very well may be a requirement on CDMA networks, or just a WM thing.
