anyone know where I can get this clock that swipes up w/out installing the background on all tabs mod and with the date up in the left hand corner? So basically the transparent clock but with swiping.

Like this(I can swipe the clock up too but don't have a SS to show it)? I do install the background on all pages but not sure it's required for the swipe up.

because some of the backgrounds I like make it hard to read on-screen text.

what about the normal black flip clock but with transparent digits?

That can't work because the digits graphics are overlayed over the flip stacks... You could use a shadow style digit which would be like clear beveled numbers over the black flips but not transparent all the way to your wallpaper
