It just comes with G-Alarm :P

I've tested it now for a few months and 0 lock-ups.

I think that's a coincedence. As far as I can tell, the G-Alarm (lockup bug,) was something that originally affected G-Alarm, and not in general.

Once I returned to my Vogue, I installed G-Alarm, (awesome app,) and it said it needed to fix the alarm bug. My phone has never frozen over night, ever since I upgraded to 6.1. The stock ROM on the Vogue was just as bad as the TP. Actually even the third-party ROMs crash on the Pro, but I haven't played with it in a few months.

Well considering I was getting lock-ups weekly until I installed the fix, I find it hard to believe it's just a coincidence, but maybe you are right. Either way I am loving a non-locking up phone.

I have not gotten a lock up in a few weeks, and BAM, froze overnight. I guess we are never going to see a fix for this, are we? If I call sprint and *****, will that result in anyhting?

I called sprint. All they said they could do is make an appointment for me at the nearest service center. If there is a problem, they will just replace the phone w/ a refurb.

I installed G-Alarm today, said yes to the "fix the bug?" question. Then plugged in and it froze in less than a minute. Now, here's a new one: when I plug it in via USB to wall plug - NO FREEZE!. Plug it in via USB to PC - FREEZE!. Anyone think this may mean it's a USB voltage thing? Next to try various ports and hub ports on the PC - and another PC...

Ive noticed that when i use my mogul Charger it never frooze, but when i would use my TP charger it would always freeze. can someone else give this a try to see if it can possibly be the correct reason why the crashes happen.

I use my mogul charger every night, and it starting locking up 3 nights ago and has done it ever night. I have to take the battery out to get it back on.
I am going to try tonight without charging it at all. I am going to bed with it fully charged. I will let you know..

Wow, I cannot believe this problem still exists. What that tells me is that the phone is overheating, and that HTC will never release a fix, (because it's a hardware problem.)

If different chargers are allowing your phone to charge fine, without crashing, then it's probably feeding less current, and the charging circuit isn't getting a chance to overheat the phone.

I dont know if I read this suggestion in this thread or not, but ive taken the battery cover off the phone and it hasnt frozen for about a month now. I usually do this at night before I go to sleep. I also leave it on the charger (this is a dock). Kinda a pain to put the cover back on work days, but id rather do that than miss the alarm and be late to work.

:violent2:How old are the TP'S you guys have that keep freezing up? Are they fairly new or are they from last year? Cause I've had mine since Sept 2008 and have not had this problem. Wondering if it is some sort of defect in a certain run of these Touch Pro's.

Like others, I have good reason to think that the occasional overnight lockups are due to overheating. One simple precaution is to slide out the keyboard when charging. Also, do not charge the phone immediately after heavy multimedia usage--let it cool off first.
