Re: *Ghost Armor Install Video*
I am really frustrated with Ghost Armor....every LCD screen cover I have gotten has had some kind of damage to it. Either weird rippling, too much glue, smudges of some kind....I am about done with them...I am on my 3rd LCD cover now and it has some weird bubbling/damage to it...I can actually feel it with my finger. I steamed the bathroom to drop dust/lint to the floor and followed their instructions to a T...
I am about to send it back and get a full refund. |

Just installed ghost armor for Sprint's tp
A few things I want to get out of the way for people considering ghost armor:
Ok, so I knew the ghost armor would have some gaps between each peice, but I didn't know it would be this much. This kit probably covers only 90% of the entire phone. There are a few pieces I feel they could have made longer or fatter. Take the battery peice for example. It doesn't wrap around the cover from end to end. Installation: I performed the install here at work. The spray bottle came in handy. After I peeled a peice of, I sprayed ONCE on the phone (for a very light spray, and to avoid possible water damage) but maybe two or three times on the peice so I could move it around. I found that the screen required very little while the peices that wrapped around the side needed more. Basically you need to be able to move the pieces on the sides around for a slightly longer period of time as you find it's sweet spot. The battery peice, the dpad peice, and the screen peice were all the easiest pieces. What I found to be the most dificult were the smaller peices. When installing the dpad's denter button's piece, I pressed down before finding it's sweet spot and it was a little hard to get it up and off again for reinstall. The second time around I moved it around with my pinky nail and when it was center, I let it sit for about 30 seconds, THEN pressed down on it. This was so I didn't move it after pressing down on it while it was still very wet. In all, installation was easy, and as long as you have lint free towels, you can clean the phone and lay the pieces on without too much worry of dust or particals getting under the pieces. The cleaner the kit came with works great and lifting up everything off the screen and rest of the phone. This is my first impressions with it, I'll post my impressions of it after a week of use, then after a month. Hope this helps someone in some way. Last edited by chronster; 12-17-2008 at 05:09 PM. |

Re: Just installed ghost armor for Sprint's tp
Sounds a lot like my experience. Thanks for the tip about the battery cover for others--thankfully I realized leaving it on was a good idea when I did my install.
I would emphasize being patient and keeping your fingers moist as much as possible. (ESPECIALLY for the small pieces!) It really helps adjust the pieces and you WILL need to do that, guaranteed. As for the coverage, I don't really see how much more of the device could be covered without harming the functionality of the device in some way. Even as it is, I have a piece or two bumping up against the volume rocker or the edge of a sliding section. (But that's my doing from the install I guess.) Also, GA or ANY of these vendors would really do well to include a diagram explaining where all the little pieces go. I eventually figured it out, but some folks might have a big PITA time with it. |

Re: Just installed ghost armor for Sprint's tp
BodyGuardz does an excellent job with explaining where each piece goes. They include a picture and the pieces are stuck together on their sheet in an orderly fashion, it's hard to mess up really. You guys should give bodyguardz a shot. I installed it on my TP in 45 mins and had no issues, just moisten up your fingers and spray away. It covers upto 98% of your phone, I have no complaints with Bodyguardz - it's clear, bubbles dry up in 48 hrs and keep drying up afterward as well. It's smooth in the screen protector part and feels good to hold. Hope that helps...
