REALLY? Dang it, I prefer the small menu to the large one as it looks more natural, but man, if it's causing me to have worse performance, I'd much rather just go back to the large font.

So I can download your large font tweak cab, install it over the small font tweak cab, and once I do that, I should see no more start menu lag?

You don't even need to install any more Cab.
Just go to : Start --> Settings --> System Tab --> TouchFLO --> check "Enable Large Start Menu.

and you're lag should go away I found the problem while customizing the provisioning xml, but don't remember where. i would have to go and look again.

UPDATE: I reposted the Sprint Manila Blue and Sprint Manila Blue (Revised) cab files to fix an issue where the Wifi adapter wouldn't toggle properly after installing the skins.

i like the yellow in my theme but want to remove just the "sprint" in the music tab and the sprint tv tab. it says "sprint music" and i just want it to say "music" and the same with the sprint tv.... does someone know where to go in the hklm reg. to fix this..

It's not a registry hack, it's a manila hack. You can find the instructions to do that here. Scroll to the first part of post #2 on that thread.

I wouldn't say "anything" but you could replace the link with a different link and then swap out the graphic, I would think.

By the way, post follow-ups on theme editing in that thread so this one stay on track with the cleanup utility rather than theme customizing.

OK, so... at the bottom you will find two installers-- sprint_manila_blue will tweak the default Sprint skin and will leave the Sprint Music and Sprint TV tabs as they are out of the box. The "revised" tweak will remove the Sprint Music Store link, rename the Sprint Music tab to "Music", and remove the Sprint TV tab.

Other changes-- ALL YELLOW has been replaced with a deep shade of BLUE (it's not exact, but it's pretty close to the PPCGeeks dark blue background, and surprisingly that wasn't intentional, lol). Also, the unread mail/sms notifications are RED... I was going to be consistent and use the blue, but they really didn't show up very well.

For those interested, the blue has a hex value of #283048. The grays used are #333333, black is #000000, and white is #FFFFFF. The light grays used for the email account, landscape, and program highlights are #C1C1C1.

Here's how to install this:

1. Copy the file of your choice to your phone (see the first post for details on that if you need them).
2. DISABLE TOUCHFLO3D and switch to another Today skin (temporarily). Do this by going to Start > Settings > Today ... select a skin that isn't "Sprint" and then click Items and uncheck TouchFLO3D. IF YOU DONT DO THIS, BAD THINGS MAY OR MAY NOT HAPPEN, SO JUST DO IT!
3. Install the file by tapping on it in File Explorer.
4. Soft reset even if it doesn't ask you to do so!
5. Re-select the Sprint skin and re-enable TouchFLO3D (reversing step 2).

Troubleshooting:

If you have trouble with this or if some of the graphics don't look right or if you actually find some yellow that I've somehow missed, let me know so I can look into it.

THIS CAN ONLY BE INSTALLED ON THE STOCK SPRINT THEME. DO NOT INSTALL THIS IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER ROM OR SKIN! DO NOT INSTALL THIS IF YOU HAVE MADE EXTENSIVE CHANGES ON YOUR OWN TO THE SPRINT THEME! IT CAN BE INSTALLED IN ADDITION TO MY TOUCH CLEANUP ABOVE!

I love your work and have this on my PRO... I would like to find out if there was another color, such as blue or green for the messages, the red is far better than the ugly Sprint Yellow but I would like a blue if you happen to know where I can DL it let me know, I have searched and no luck...

However, if you follow the "Customize Your TouchFLO3D / Manila Theme" link in my signature, you can read through the last section of Post #2 there for info on how to change the color of the notification.

If you're feeling really lazy or just feel like playing it safe, you can use the attached file to save some time. Just extract the zip, and copy the manila file into the phone's \Windows folder (which replaces the red one).
