Lag with open keyboard menu!!!

When I open my keyboard it gives me the 8 icons to select from. After I touch one of the buttons it start to load the designated app, but then the screen flickers and goes back to the 8 icon menu again. I have increased all cache sizes using advanced config. Does anybody else experience this or am I just hitting the screen too fast?

I get that sometimes too...

I don't like that menu. Once it's open there's no way to get to programs and I hate that. I have to close the phone and then re-open it. Sorry, I know that's not the initial topic but I'd just like to do away with that 8 options thing. And I always accidentally hit Opera, which takes forever to load and then I have to close it.

I have both these issues, especially with the damn opera button.
