I like this one. I just put the two icons in my programs screen, and then you can just press the button to turn it on, and press again to shut off.

Have you tried Nilisco? I just installed it (forgot I hadn't installed it yet) and it seems to work partially. It'll turn the flashlight on, but it won't turn it off.

The program is called torch button. The new version is actually two different apps for two different brightness levels. Very handy from the program launcher...

hTorch has been the one I have been using and I absolutely love it!!! Easy to use and fast to launch...

Actually, the LED on this phone functions very well as a flashlight (and this is coming from someone with several custom high end LED lights...). The color is a bit cooler than I would like, but it's a nice smooth floody beam. The lower, "normal" level is perfect for reading a menu in a dark restaurant.
