If your TT6 maps came from the Kaiser, you'll have to work that out even if it IS compatible.
I worked around it but it seems that ttn7 wont recognize the map no matter what I do....damnit.

Re: Tom Tom for HTC Touch Pro Sprint.

Is there a way I can try the Tom Tom software before I buy maps only to find out it doesn't work with my PPC?

I have the HTC Touch Pro (Telus Canada) and I would like to try Tom Tom. I understand that the software is free but the maps are purchased, right?

Which is the recommended version for the Touch Pro, TT6 or TT7?

If this is true I would like to install the software and make sure I can get it working first before buying maps.

Lastly, what happns when I update the phone, can I call Tom Tom and have them transfer the map subscription to the new device?

Thanks!

So does this mean that TT7 works without the video cable attached or only in portrait mode or not at all?

With regards to the 'video out cable in your car', are you referring to the HTC Video out cable attached to a monitor in the car?

it works in portrait and landscape when no cable is attached, once the htc touch pro video out cable is used(connected to my monitor in car) it will only display in portrait mode. Everything else works in landscape mode except tt7...

Will that version work on the Sprint Touch Pro, connect to TomTom Home, and permit me to buy a United States map?
