Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?
I've heard no modern feedback on the glasses. All I've ever heard was about much older models, and all quite negative.
As for charging at the same time, if it's anything like the Sprint version, it'll include a cool little rectangular add-on that plugs into the jack and has a straight pass-through for power/USB, one for 2.5mm, one for 3.5mm, and another HTC-specialized jack for the included headset. The latter one, despite being the same shape, won't charge the phone, so the first and last connections are obviously not 100% identical, but I would assume they likely pass the video through in some way that would let you both charge it and display at the same time. I can't imagine how fast the battery would run out while doing it otherwise. |

I saw some glasses called myvu(?). I want to try them out,but I don't know what it would take to connect to the Touch Pro. They're pricey buy I've seen some on ebay. Let know how they work.

Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?
Well, they should use the same standard connectors anything would, so composite (red/yellow/white) connectors, which is what the Touch Pro uses. If they required just about anything else they'd be useless for most devices.

EDIT: I checked out the MyVU site and they show them being hooked up to Ipod video out ports so i assume they could easily be outfitted to use composite. Last edited by madzilla; 11-10-2008 at 11:15 PM. |

Re: Best "TV" or "Virtual Reality" glasses for Touch Pro?
I just checked them out. Simultaneously awesome and ridiculous. If my battery life wasn't as bad as it is it'd be pretty cool to leave the phone plugged into it and always have the display visible. But I'd look ridiculous doing it. And yet...

If i take a win at the casino this weekend - I will order those i-glassestore ones and try them.. I mean really for $279.00 it will be worth it just to say I tried.. specially for video out.. at my current job I sit in a cube and do tech support over the phone - I could easily use these and no one would really notice!
