That said, this solution will allow it to work for a while, but after a while it reverts back due to something in the main ROM. The only solution is to reapply the fix.

This tweak works perfect for me, just like my mogul. This only thing I notice that it don't do is remember my style of texting. My mogul would remember certains word that I use previously and have them stored for a later use.

Just wanted to report back saying it has been 5 days and the latest .cab has been working great.

I posted a new version tonight that makes one more setting change to supposedly disable T9 permanently. We'll see if it works or not (I'm not entirely convinced yet since I can still manually toggle T9 mode).

This latest version (Updated 11/18/2008) fixed the problem for me, after having the original old-school word correction keep my on-screen keyboard on numbers only. Hopefully it stays that way, thanks alot!

I was using the on screen keyboard to look up a contact to call. I called the person then hung up and entered an appointment into my calendar. I then soft restarted and went to type in a web site and the on screen keyboard was showing numbers only. No letters. I ran the .cab again and all is well.

Yep, it seems when I edit contacts or calendar entries with the onscreen keyboard is when I get issues and have to run the cab again.

I installed this hack on my phone and I think I am having a memory leak from it. Is anyone else having a problem with their memory running all the way up to 50% after a few hours of moderate use? It is either this or windows live, I hate that app. I may hard reset and remove that completely haha.

It has nothing to do with this hack, that I can guarantee you. Windows Live may or may not leak depending on your usage of it, but if you hate it, why are you using it? lol If you're not using it, then it's not leaking.

Woah, I love this. I can't thank you enough. I was just wondering if this was the problem. I found the problem today and just got here to post that I was incorrect. It is definitely not the word correction, it was that email update micro$oft released! That thing had me to 60% last night after 6 hours on with no programs running!!!

Edit: I am not running Windows Live, I was trying push mail on hotmail, but it killed my battery. haha
