Re: Brick + Insurance
usually when the people don't follow instructions and "brick" their phone its really not bricked just a pain to get it back. though if you start playing with the dev tools and entering mtty commands then you can really foobar your phone.

Re: Brick + Insurance
the 1 in 2 deal is complete BS its not nearly that rate. if you carefully follow the steps properly I think that risk is down to .0000000000001% chance of bricking.

Re: Brick + Insurance
yah 1 in 2 is pretrty absurd. Only fools who dont read directions and decide to do things that they were specifically told not to do wind up with bricks.

Re: Brick + Insurance
I think he's saying the chances are 50/50 for brickin it. not that 1 out of 2 people brick their phone. Just read, re-read and read it again before you start the process. And just before you start... READ it AGAIN! lol. the first time you do it can be really nerve racking. lol
Back on topic.... I second the run it over with the car option if you can't lie.

Re: Brick + Insurance
i have a 13 year old son that is rough and tough and plays outside, swims, does his own laundry all with his phone in his pocket. i can't tell you how many moguls he's went though. so my thought is to send it to me, i'll let my son play for a day or to with it in his pocket and i'll send it back. broken as hell. no bubbles no troubles. then all you have to say is a teenager got ahold of it. nothing else will have to be said. they will know.
out. oh yea. when i said he does his laundry with his phone in his pocket, i meant to say it's in a pocket of the pants he's currently washing. Last edited by DarkLord; 11-13-2008 at 11:06 AM. Reason: i forgot to mention |
