Deleting Music!!!

I have songs on my storage card and every time I update the list with new songs, (or deleting old sons) it doesn't update in the touch flo application. My now playing list is polluted with missing files.. Does anyone know how to delete old music files from the Now playing list and the touch flo music tab and force it to search for new music.. THanks!

Re: Deleting Music!!!

I tried this, this will only delete songs that have been added to my playlist... I am trying to delete and update the songs in my Now Playing list... or the Songs list... These songs will not update nor will the deleted songs titles be removed??

Re: Deleting Music!!!

I may be misunderstanding you, but here's what I did to delete the songs already loaded on mine. Go to your File Explorer. Delete the contents inside of "MUSIC" folder in My Device.

Re: Deleting Music!!!

That didn't work either.. I loaded my music from my micro memory card... Now whenever i add new music from my computer to the memory card, the new music does not show up in the Music tab in touch flo... Also when I delete an old song from my micro memory card, the song name still appears in the Now Playing List with an exclamation mark (signifying a missing song) and I cannot clear out this music.. Someone else has to be having this problem..

Re: Deleting Music!!!

yes I know exactly what you mean. Mind You my device is finding the new songs, but it isnt removing the old songs so i have playlists full of exclaimation points like yourself. Ive tried making sure the folder was deleted and everything....what ever temporary information that gets transfered to the device does not reconcile after a sync today im planning a trip to sprint...hope it helps some of these issues

Re: Deleting Music!!!

haven't tested (too lazy lol) but try this...

-remove your card

-reset the phone

-with the card still out of the phone go to the music player

-I think I remember seeing a update now option my first time starting the player... my guess is that option should return when the phone doesn't detect a card...

-after updating the database I would reset one more time

-insert card & then navigate to the player... this time when you update, your database should be current...

even though I haven't tested it, I'm pretty sure that should work... until someone finds the reg-edit to fix it

Has anyone gotten this to work ? How can you force the library to update itself and remove the songs that aren't there ?

God this is frustrating...HTC really dropped the ball on this music player.

Re: Deleting Music!!!

I find the only solution is to go into the phone's Windows Media Player and use the Update Library function. This correctly updates whatever is added or taken away for me. The TF3D application seems to take some of its cues from WMP, although they don't tell you that.

Re: Deleting Music!!!

If you goto library in tf3d and you will see the first tab is the now playing list which will have your missing songs that show exclamation marks, go over to the all songs tab and the missing songs will not show just pick a song from the all songs tab and then that tab will now be the now playing list without the exclamation marks and missing songs.
