can Google Maps LOCATION feature be enabled?

I know GPS works, but alot of times you're in a building and GPS doesn't lock in. I've used Location feature on the palm and takes 2 seconds.

Do you mean, my location? Google and Garmin locks in less then 10sec for me...

Run QuickGPS. It makes the locks faster.

make sure you are outside or have a clear path to the sky for the satellite. it should lock in a few seconds (using Google Maps). If you are in motion (i.e. driving in a car) then it may take a few more seconds to lock. The "My Location" does work, but you have to already be locked onto some satellites.
