ATT and T-Mobile are GSM

Sprint, Verizon and Alltel are CDMA

ATT may have the fastest 3G network compared to other GSM providers, but they can't really compare themselves to CDMA networks.

I can confirm that in Philadelphia, PA Sprint is the fastest...i have tested the speed on the Iphone, and other PDA. Internet and coverage is the best from my experience (actually, i only recall 1 call drop in about a year's time, and it was on a remote area away from the city)
I can use my mogul in elevators, etc..not bad at all!!

AT&T has the fastest network (at least, most potential for speed, usually it is fastest), however Sprint's coverage is by far the best. I'll take my slightly slower EVDO Rev. A/0 with good coverage over AT&T's slightly faster HSDPA with sucky coverage any day.
