Hard reset won't help. I've been through two for other reasons. But instead of soft-resetting, just hit the task manager and hit the close all button. Closing the messaging app generally stops it.

Re: Vibrate stays on

Anyone find a resolution to this? I have the exact same issue. I get more email than text but it happens on either. Will not stop until I click on the messages. I have nothing loaded on my phone extra.

Unfortunately, no solution. This is just an issue.

Re: Vibrate stays on

My wife told me she was having this problem on her Mogul (6800), but I didn't really look into it. Figured it's just a bug on her phone or something.
But now, starting this weekend, MY TOUCH PRO IS DOING THE SAME THING. I yelled at her for putting her phone too close to mine when charging, thinking it may have "caught" something from hers.
This is BS. Now we have two phones, different models, with the same problem. I'm actually putting the phone into silent-mode when I'm away from it because I'm scared the vibrator motor will eventually burn out and catch fire or something if I'm not there to stop it.

Our phones have nothing in common. She has S2U2 while I have Pocketshield, so it can't be that. She has little free memory, but I have plenty.

What gives?

Re: Vibrate stays on

It just happened to me today, 2 email in a row, and vibrate won't stop. I didn't know the trick so I just soft reset it, and it reset the vib motor.

Re: Vibrate stays on

This happens on my phone, usually with text messages. I usually just press the hang-up button and it stops.

Re: Vibrate stays on

This started on mine last night. I just did a hard reset 2 days ago, and S2U2 is the only non stock app. I think the poor thing ran all night....

Re: Vibrate stays on

I have this issue. Happens when I'm having a conversation with someone and leave the conversation open. About 5 or 6 text later, it'll start vibrating for a new text and it won't stop until I respond. Kind of annoying.

Re: Vibrate stays on

I have this problem. Usually I find the vibrator running while on the charge overnight. Sooner or later the vibrator is going to burn out.

Re: Vibrate stays on

The only way Ive found to solve this is by resetting. It happens randomly when I get a phone call.
