my touch pro does this too, and my mogul used to do it also, so you're not alone. i'm just used to it now, it's just irritating when it happens in your pocket and things get pressed on the touchscreen by accident. but i've come to expect it so whatever.

I too have experienced this issue with my TP. I definitely lean toward fringe signal causing this. I have they same problem with my mogul but, the issue is not very consistent on either device. I have very poor signal at my home so, my phones switch in & out of EV,1X, and NO SIGNAL often. I have the AIRAVE now and notice, when this issue happens, that the phones are pulling signal from the weak towers and not the AIRAVE. Bottom line: Sometime it happens sometime it doesn't.

the only time I have witnessed the touch pro waking up on its own it went back to sleep about 2 seconds later... the mogul used to do it to me all the time...

I've had this exact problem as well. All my WM sprint phones have done this, and the Touch Pro is doing it too (although I've noticed its doing it less then my mogul).

The interesting thing is that while this happens all the time at home, it doesnt happent at work or other locations. I've come to the conclusions that it has something to do with my location or local topology of my apartment.

Perhaps my apartment is in the overlap area between two different cell towers and it keep switching between them?

it is your connection, not the phone. it switches in and out of roaming and you have very little to no reception, which causes it to wake up. my phone don't wake up at home, which has great reception but it does when i am at work, with little to no reception.

Also, if you have any apps changing the registrery to make it "Wakeup to full power" then it will do this.

I get the same thing at my office, but at home it works fine.

Pyroz is correct. When the phone switches to 1x, Ev or into roaming the phone will wake up to let you know that you switched frequance bands. I actually like that feature cause it lets me know when I'm in crappy coverage, also helps while I'm working.

Its either location related or software IMO.
