Disable automatic display of most recent text?

You know how when you navigate to "Messages," the most recent message is automatically displayed (even if it's not new)? Does anyone know if this feature can be disabled, without disabling TouchFLO entirely?

Everyone thinks this is a cool-looking phone, so naturally they all say "Hey can I take a look?" ... Well, I'd rather not have my private text messages on full display for anyone to look at. I suspect I'm screwed here, but figured it was worth asking.

Re: Disable automatic display of most recent text?

can't you just diable the SMS tab using one of the Config TF3D programs floating around here?

we can, but the question is if we can keep the tab, because if we disable the tab, it would take alot of steps to access our txt msgs.

Re: Disable automatic display of most recent text?

Have you thought about disabling the tab, but mapping a double click to a button to open your text messages (thus avoiding multiple presses) using AE Button Plus? Or alternatively, create a shortcut in your programs to go to your text messages.

Re: Disable automatic display of most recent text?

Thanks... my only concern is that if I get rid of the tab altogether, I won't be able to tell if I have a new text message. As far as I can tell, the little yellow number on the Message tab is the only clear indicator that you have a new message (I'm not counting the tiny little icon at the top that's easy to miss). I guess the light also flashes on the nav wheel when the phone's asleep, but there are other events that cause this too.

I may try this out anyway... thanks for the info.
