Oil Slick appearance under fluorescent lighting on the touch pro
I just started noticing this problem yesterday. The guy in the original thread noticed it when he was an inpatient in a hospital and I am a doctor and I first noticed this while I was at work yesterday. Interesting the problem isn't apparent under sunlight or regular wattage bulbs, but under fluorescent lights, there's a big oil slick appearing square. This was a problem on the touches as well. Does anyone know the cause of this? It never was clearly answered in the thread below, but the suggestion of a leak in the LCD fluid seems plausible.

+1 on that. It should evaporate or at least decrease in appearance if you take battery out and leave phone under a hot light bulb. Try at your own risk though.

Um, I wouldn't put it under a hot light bulb. Esp NOT too close. the top several layers of the touch screen are rather "soft" plastic, and I surely don't want to speculate on the melting point of it.........

I have never tried this, but read it in lots of places. Try putting your phone in with a bag of rice for a several hours. I might draw the liquid right out for you. People do this when phones are wet all the time.

Yeah, I started noticing this problem within having my Touch Pro for a couple days. It's really annoying. Would getting another screen protector and switching the current one help? Or would the problem just come right back?
