Contacts + Email Issues

Hi guys, I have a couple other questions about this phone. I'm a first time WinMO user and would appreciate any tips.

1) Yesterday I synced my windows live with my phone and it downloaded all my messenger contacts to my phonebook, now I didn't want this so being the newbie that I am, I deleted all my messenger contacts on my phone. This morning when I checked - all my msn contacts were gone. Stupid of me I guess. Anyway, the problem is, now when I try to add a new contact to my phone book it only gives me two choices (Windows Live OR Outlook Contact) and it keeps syncing between my phonebook and windows live. Is there anyway to just enter phone contacts without windows live or outlook? I tried deleting my hotmail account on the phone but it wont let me.

2) When I go to contacts and select "send email". It will ONLY send from my hotmail account and wont budge from there. Is there anyway to change this to my Gmail account which is my primary email? Thanks for any input.

i had the same problem every. every time i add a contact i sign out for msn and when i sign back in i uncheck the box that syncs the contacts to my phone
