I'd very much like to be able to send pictures to my phonenumber@sprintpcs.com.

Works fine for me. Sent pictures to both Tmobile and Verizon users with no problem!

its not sending it to you. it just looks like it.. Poor program design on sprint part.
mine does it too. it's actually downloading from their picture mail site and placing the images on your device to keep them in sync.

keep in mind there are limitations on the size of the images sent. not by the sending side but by the receiving side.
For example verizon has a limit of a 1.3 megapixel image, I can send a 2 megapixel image taken on my pro though. I cant send 3.2 though

It is the MSL # for your phone. Call Sprint and they will give it to you and walk you through it till it is fixed. Make sure when you call them that anything they tell you, you write it down. I have my MSL # and if I ever have to make any custom changes I have my MSL handy, so place the MSL in a note file or something, so if you're on the go, you got your phone and MSL with you too :)

Good to know; I won't keep banging my head against the wall. I know it doesn't matter as long as the picture is being sent but it's just one of those things that was going to bug me until I figured out why it was doing it. Thanks for the heads up!

By the way: you can send pictures to Sprint users by emailing their phonenumber@pm.sprint.com

What I had to do to get mine working was have one sent to me first. after I received one then started sending them it worked for me.

i think this Sprint picture mail program is junk. Sometimes I can send a pic but it takes like an hour to send it and then it does not get to my other phone forever. Sometimes it won't send at all. Problem is I do not get any errors or anything. I am going to go back to using sMMs. It works every time no hassle.

Yeah, sMMS works better. The only advantage this one has over sMMS is it can receive MMS wih audio clips. You should be able to send MMS with audio clips with the sprint mms but that is not working at all!

I have been on the phone with sprint for over an hour now trying to get them to help fix This Picture mail and they have not been able to help at all so far.

sMMS can't send Videos, though.

Too bad the Picture Mail app on the Touch Pro is buggy. Mine sends them quickly, but it shows up in my inbox as well. I just delete it. Annoying, but at least my Picture Mail works.

No worries, our diligent hackers will extract and mod it to work properly and allow it to be used on other Pocket PC's.

Thats what I love about this site the people here are much better at fixing things than sprint. Well after 1hour 30 minutes on the phone they are passing me of to advanced support. I don't suppose ill have much luck there either.

How come when u get notified that u have picture mail..the only option is dismiss? How come there is no option to view like say a text or email?

Hey guy i ahve a question if my plan is the everything 900 minutes i can send picture mail? Also I try loging in to the sprint picture mail website but dont have a password i click the option forgot password so they send me the password to my phone but i havent received the password yet any idea what is going on?

i had this problem as well...i am on the sero 500 plan and it would not send me my password when i clicked on the send the password option on the picturemail site. I had to call up tech support and he sent me my password thru his end.

hey i already got the password and set up the mail but i tried sending a picture that is less than 1mb in size but it doesnt send it still says sending and is in the third attempt.

what else can i do to fix this? thanks in advance.

my problem is that I send an image. It shows up on my pictures.sprintpcs account but never makes it to the person I am sending to. I have tried multiple things. I have sent to multiple carriers. I have decreased the image quality 1"1meg superfine" and will continue to test smaller as I go. I currently have a ticket in with sprint...

The only success I have had was a 9kb picmail.

*update I can send images at "640 x 480, regular quality" 46k

i was able to send it in that format too, but it took like 20minutes to send and it when i ask my girlfriend if she got it she said she haven't received anything. did the person u send it to got it fast or did it took a long time?

I am in need of picturemail software for my HTC touch.. I see everyone has the diamond or pro but no one has said anything about the touch only... i had some software I got and it sent the pictures to myself even though it shows I sent the pict to the other cell.

Same issues here, picture mail not working. It doesn't sync with the pictures on my pm account like my diamond did.

does any one have any solutions? Sprint told me to take my phone to my local sprint retail to get it checked out and if they cant fix it they will give me another one. I don't know what to do. If everyone is having this problem it cant be the phone. The pics stay in my "inbox" and never gets to the person im sending to im getting real fed up. ive been on the ohone with 6 techs and every one of did the same thing and it dont work. and yes i did update the picture mail.

I have noticed that if you keep the picturemail app open it will send the pictures rather quickly. I will send a picture, and then hit start menu and today to be able to use the phone as normal. I tested this and had the people I sent the pictures to text me, each time was only a two or three minutes.

Ok, after spending over 2 hours with different levels of tech support without success I got it fixed. I installed the PictureMail that came with the Diamond and that was posted by no2chem. Voila! It started working as it was on the Diamond. no2chem had to remove his post due to a cease and desist but the cab can be found around in places that I can't mention. It is syncing with the picturemail website and notification is working as well.

I tested updating to the one on the Powerdeck and it stopped working again. Reverted back to the old again and started working as expected, definitely a problem with the software that comes installed in it.

Just because he is posting on this thread doesn't mean he's using a Pro. Secondly, his device says a Moto Q, not a Pro. I don't assume things, and I can probably help but I need to know the exact problem. The problem mentioned at the top of this thread has been discussed many times in the Diamond forum, I personally have helped many people with this problem. So, once I get some DETAILS, I can start working on a solution to help out in anyway I can.

What did they have you change your username to? your spint picturemail email address? I assume there is no way to get this working without calling tech support because if you go in and change your userid you lose your data connection

I had to change it to lilrico01@sprintpcs.com. It is also going to change to that if you do "update profile". I thought the username was going to be the same as I use to log into sprint and it isn't, so tech support would be the best route to call. I just had my Mogul laying around and saw the username it was using and tried it, and bam, I was good to go!

my username in my EPST screen is nothing like my pircture mail login or anything remotely close. its a username i never saw. i went in there and put in my picture mail username and immediately lost the data (error 67) i just did a restore from within that screen and all worked. i dont have anyone i can send a photo to (sad i know) so i just sent it to myself and i got it.. but i need to send one to someone to check also..

soo, my question, those who can look at your EPST screen (##3282#) is your username the same as your pic mail or your standard pcs email?
