Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

this is one problem I've noticed with my TP. My gf will call me and ask what I was doing telling me my phone rang 5 times before I answered when I picked it up the instant it started ringing. It's not that I answered when it became audible, but when the phone first lit up. This is one aspect of the phone I find completely unacceptable. I've been sitting at home on numerous occasions and had the phone just instantly start ringing that I had new voicemail while the phone never rang for the incoming call. Of course Sprint and HTC and Windows mobile with all their profits and research into phone technology are simply incapable in this modern age we're living in to make a decent phone. Face it, this thread has been goin on since the launch of the phone. At this point it's obvious that it's beyond the capacity of all the wondrous technological gurus out there that are making phones to have the damn thing ring when it's called. It's funny, you can take a watered down flip phone and it'll ring instantly, but the TP with all it's technology can't handle a phone call. Perhaps the problem is Windows itself. Perhaps the phone should be seperated from WinMobile somehow to make that feature excluded from the technical shortcomings of Windows.

That's the same difference it made in mine. Down to the two rings & the first ring is a fake ring that you get with any cell phone.

After dumping that ridiculously bloated HTC dialer, my TP actually rings faster than my Wife's POS flip phone.....

Re: Ring delay with Incoming Call

Can anyone verify turning off the HTC Dialer will disable calling 911? I did the register hack switched to the WM Dialer and it seems to be working. It is ringing on the second ring instead of the 4 or 5th.

I just don't want to get stuck and can't dial 911.

Thanks!
