Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
Hi... It appears I am the only one with this problem... can someone do me a favor... please create a new excel workbook, put data on all 3 default sheets. Then close the file and re-open, and let me know if opens on the first sheet, or the last sheet that data was entered on. Thanks.
The interesting thing, is that after I sync my phone, and then open the same file on my PC, it opens to the last place I entered data... when I open it on my phone, it opens to the first sheet. |

Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
Yes, the Touch Pro does this. I'm not sure how to fix it, and I'm not sure if this is a characteristic of only Office Mobile 6.1, but it's pretty frustrating, I agree. I wish it saved my zoom too

Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
2 things I hate about excel mobile...
1) I have a spreadsheet that probably has about 40 sheets in it. I don't believe you can open more than the first 10 or so 2) You can't use password protected files! |

Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
Yes... I wish it saved zoom also... My old HP Ipaq used to save zoom settings... then I upgraded to the PPC6700, which did not save zoom, but it did reopen at my last entry cell... now my touch pro does neither... MS is going the wrong way.

On Excel 2003 and 2007 it always opens where you last edited right? Does for me. I'd expect mobile to do the same thing. I know ther eis a setting on 2003/2007 that declares where tog o when opened. |

I password protect my whole phone, so it is OK for me if the file is not locked. |

Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
Do Hyperlinks work in Excel Mobile? I have been impressed with streaming media using TCPMP. However, searching for stations with MP3 on The Streaming Center by state is a pain. I decided to copy stations using MP3 to an Excel spreadsheet. I then copied it to my TP and opened it in Excel. I thought that I could use the Hyperlink for each station to start the streaming media, but it did not work. It appears that the hyperlinks that are there in the Excel 2000 spreadsheet are not there in Mobile Excel.

Re: Excel Mobile on Touch Pro
Anyone who is a heavy Excel user should look at SpreadCE from ByeDesign. (http://www.byedesign.co.uk/) I've been using it for the last 8 years, and have never had a spreadsheet it couldn't handle.
It supports 256 col. x 32767 rows x 32767 sheets, the majority of excel function and macros. With an unlimited number of open files. and opens native excel workbooks..... It also saves your last position and zoom. ![]() |
