text message emoticons?
 
is there a way to send emoticons with text message?
I read the manual and it says to go to advance and add this or insert but it's greyed out.

please help thanks.

smiley sms will let you see smileys in the messages, amd smip is an onscreen kb with smileys.... there are bugs with smiley sms and i dont use it anymore maybe there is a newer version this is 1.66 it is freeware so you might find a newer one out there, and i also zipped smip (couldnt zip the cabs seperately for somereason but if you extract them they are seperate so you dont have to install both if you dont want one,) hope this helped

Most of the time the receiving party won't get the emoticons unless they have the same software installed =[

use the cable or sd card or manually go online to this forum page and download it and just open it up and install both cab files.... btw i recommend vito sms chat... best program out there for txting and the new version included emoticons..

If you do standard emoticons ( :) ;) :D etc, etc) then *most* phones will be able to understand it. It's when you get into some of the third party and a little more eccentric ones that they won't be able to translate and they will show up like normal text.

I don't use it because the only emoticons I use are :) ;) and :D when I text.
