Thing is, plastic does not shatter in that pattern. It would crack but not shatter. look at the pictures that is a glass shatter pattern. and even if it is plastic its really fragile plastic then.

That is definitely interesting, because if the LCD itself were cracked, it wouldn't be all clear and normal looking.

Not so sure if the screen is plastic. I had a Diamond for a few weeks and I did not install a screen protector. After 2 weeks, there were no scratches on it. This is use without a case, straight in my pocket and out. The button area had a few scratches.

I can tell you the TP screen is plastic. It feels plasticy, and I have a tiny hairline scratch from a week of pocket use.

So then maybe the TP is plastic and the diamond is glass with plastic coating. Regardless the damn this is fragile.
