Opening keyboard power on ?

Any way to "turn off" the ability of the phone to power on when keyboard is opened. I'd prefer to NOT power on the phone if the keyboard is opened, accidentally or otherwise.

Re: Opening keyboard power on ?

There is.

You'll need a registry editor.

Go to HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd
Create a new DWORD value called SlideWakeup
Set the DWORD data to 0

Soft reset to activate.
To revert, delete the key (or set the data value to 1) and soft reset

Re: Opening keyboard power on ?

Thanks, worked perfectly. The only reason I needed this is because I keep the phone in my pocket and it seems that it would shift enough to turn the phone on, then after that the touchscreen would take over.

I am uploading my .reg file that you can import with a registry editor. Just take off the .zip extension.
Attached Files
File Type: zip KEYBOARD_no_slidewakeup.reg[1].zip (718 Bytes, 15 views) Click for barcode!
