watch the animation effect from tab to tab. (swishing with finger to get to next tab) That animation was removed from recent touchflo versions, replaced by HTC with simple fade in/fade out effects. Personally I LOVE the old effects so I put them back.

PROBLEM, PROBLEM!

When I added this cab to my phone it changed my TF3D to the Black HTC theme. Which is fine. But it removed the registry hacks I used to change tehe softkeys and it removed teh call history tab in TF3D. AND I CANT ADD IT BACK. ive tried reinstalling the cab I got from XDA for the call history and I've tried dropping the call history manila files into the windows directory and that didnt work either.

any help would be great.

Did you use the option in TF3D config RESTORE TO DEFAULT? That should delete all these crazy manila files and restore your manila to default that comes with your ROM.

Try using total commader or something that will show system files.

Re: Map long talk key press to rotate screen

Discovered a neat reg edit:

Here's a reg hack to manually rotate your screen, only when desired.
In Settings/Buttons/ one used to be able to assign a button to <Rotate Screen>. This feature is hidden on the Touch Pro.
To get it back:
Using a Registry editor, go to:
HKeyLocalMachine/System/GDI/Rotation
Change the "HideOrientationUI" from 1 to 0
Now you can remap the talk key to do this on long press.

Re: Touch Pro Essentials

I've been reading these forums for days and there seems like there is alot of good information.

So far I have:

added the OEM screen protector.
added 2 GB MicroSD
installed CD software that came with TouchPro
Synchronization feature apparently is not configured correctly and is not working
added PM Backup and created backup
added tweaks only version of GoodThings2Life's Touch Pro cleanup

I'm unsure about next steps and surprised that there is no information on this website about customizing an HTC Touch Pro. :) In all seriousness, I am at a loss on what I am supposed to do next. Are most people using the synchronization feature? Any recommendation on the best way to set that up?

As an alternative to the synchronization, I've set up PIM Backup to create auto backups on my storage device.

Is there anywhere that provides a recommended order in implementing the customizations and fixes? For example, what is the first program that I need to download and install onto the Touch Pro? Is it the registry editor or the advanced config. or something else? Eventually I'd like to be able to add the following features: flipclock, clear clock, clear/transparent touch3d symbols, add my own photo as background to touch3d homepage and sliding options, customized symbols on taskbar, customized symbols on sliding bar, sliding bar lock, and implement the other registry tweaks defined here in the essentials. Does the order of doing these changes matter? Any help is appreciated.

Re: Touch Pro Essentials

Seriously, here is a very important step.. it gets hard to keep track of what you did and where you got it. Create a folder on your PC and put a txt or xl file of date, item, source and discription. Then keep a copy of each install file within that same folder. That way you can go back and redo or remove those items that don't work or that you decide you don't want and keep a clean "diary" of what has been done.

Also before you go any further be sure you have a full backup (to save having to hard reset and start from scratch when you have medium glitches...) and therefore a good backup program (I use SPB Backup though sktools and possibly rescoe explorer will also do backups.. I'm just used to the simplicity of sbp backup). When you have the phone to your liking make a complete backup again.. cause you're gonna end up tweaking it .. its hard to stop believe me... and you might regret it now and again so its easy to go back.... I name my backups with what state the phone is in so I know. Once you've got those tools set up.... dive in!

OH and save a copy of your backup files in that folder on your PC. You never know when you might need that extra copy...

Re: Touch Pro Essentials

I'm really having some problems getting the flip clock and background for all pages to work correctly. I've attempted this 5 times and each time the slider icons are not centered. I have the Touch Pro and I've used the search feature and read through every thread that I could find on the topic; however, I still have not been able to find a solution. I've seen screen shots of other peoples phones that shows that some people have been successful with this and I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to help me.

These are the steps that I am taking:

1. I change the wallpaper to the default standard wallpaper.
2. I disable TouchFlo.
3. I install mUn BackGround4AllPages v.02.cab to the device and then soft reset.
4. I install Sprint2FlipClock.cab to the device and then soft reset.
5. I install mUnBGM_Sprintfix_NisseDILLIGAF.cab to the device and then soft reset.
6. I enable Touchflo.

Everytime that I have attempted this it has resulted in the flip clock and background for all pages being successfully installed; however ,the slider icons are not centered. I then restore from SPBackup and try again but get the same results. I've also attempted switching the order of steps 3 and 4 but it still resulted in the slider icons not being centered.

Finally, I've noticed in some threads that are closed by moderators that people referenced the section called "Wallpaper on every tab, transparent clocks and curtains" in the Touch Pro Essentials thread; however, the link associated with that item in the first post of this thread does not work.

UPDATE: Nevermind. I guess the 7th time installing it is a charm. :)

It has its downsides, no quick way to get to recent calls, not very customizable etc. But its an easy install, you can easily switch back to TF3D and is very responsive.I think my favorite aspect is the new contact menu and the integrated message center that combines all texts, mails etc into one area.

If you still have the stock TF3D clock, most of the custom clocks won't work until you install a flip clock first. Once you install a flip clock, all of the others will install fine. I use this one.

Re: Touch Pro Essentials Laggy Keyboard

2 Attachment(s)
Fix for the laggy keyboard is twofold...

First make sure you are not running Visthidebattery (as it seems to cause its own lag issues with the Touch pro)

Then install the following cab files.....

RR Keyboard Speed Increase.cab
Disable xt9 cab
Soft reset device

Despite the latters name, it does not disable the Xt9 keyboard but somehow prevents it from being the sole selectable keyboard.

Thread from XDA.... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436795

Sorry if this was posted before on this thread. I searched the thread for all entries containing the word keyboard but did not see these cab files listed. Working fine on my TP with Mightys 4.9.3 Sprint CDMA.

You would need to use the WDE from this post http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...eatherdatabase in order to add additional countries and international cities

If you have already installed the .cab then if you message me the countries and cities I can create a custom manila file for you, you would need to use total commander to copy it into your root windows folder on your phone and they will be available to add using your TF3D weather tab

I noticed that all of the MC* cities were that way, I have corrected the manila file, I should have the .cab fixed shortly. Thank you for the feedback, let me know if anything else is broken.
  • unzip 2330fc3c_manila.zip
  • stop touchflo3D
  • copy 2330fc3c_manila to the Windows folder using total commander
  • restart touchflo3D
  • you may have to remove the MC* city then re-add it, as soon as the weather is updated the weather should work

Go to HKLM\Hardware\DeviceMap\Keybd
Create a new DWORD value called SlideWakeup
Set the DWORD data to 0

Thanks

NOTE: If you use Diamond Tweak, Diamond Config, Advanced Config or any other tweak program, DO NOT USE THEIR VERSION OF THIS TWEAK UNLESS YOU CONFIRM THEY DO IT THE RIGHT WAY FIRST.

Also attached is a new version of tweaks.xml for use with the Diamond TouchFlo3D Config program (YES! It contains the PROPER Classic Word Completion tweak, which is why I'm posting it!). All of the tweaks are safe for use with the Sprint Touch Pro device. It's called tweaks.xml.txt here for safe posting, so be sure to save it without the .txt before you put it on your phone and wonder why it doesn't work. You can do that by naming it "tweaks.xml" (with quotes) when saving. When copying it to the phone, put it in the \Program Files\Diamond TF3D Config folder.

What tweaks do you check off in this version of tweaks. I see much more options to tweak. Whats the best set up?

baffles, 6 more buttons can be added to the programs tab in tf3d. this is what i did:

HKLM\Software\HTC\Manila\ProgramLauncher\

you'll see 18 folders (0-17), create a new folder and name it 18. then copy the files from any of the folders (0-17) into the folder 18. disable tf3d then enable it and you'll have a 19th button. repeat 5 more times to get 6 more buttons total.

i haven't seen this in anywhere, is this old news? im running on kk's loaded rom v1.8, not sure if the rom makes a difference though. thanks!

Delete the isext.dll string and you will no longer get error 67. Download TRE
http://www.ppcvault.com/2005/05/20/t...gistry-editor/
1) navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing
2) Delete this string: Extension - isext.dll

Go to this thread and read in the first post under the section "Speaker and Battery Icon." Follow those steps exactly and you will have some nice icons with the ability to have your battery level broken down in 1% increments.
