Viewing pictures

Not sure if I've installed something that messed this up, but when I click on a picture in my file explorer, it says there's no program associated with it (jpg's) and can't view them. Has anyone else had this problem?

I'm hoping I don't have to do a hard reset. I don't think I've tried to open pictures before now. Thanks!

Re: Viewing pictures

The picture file type is .jpg. I emailed myself a pic and that's when I realized the problem. I went into to my picture folder and none of them work. I've installed so many programs from here lately, I would have no idea what corrupted it.

I suppose I could go back to one of my regedit backups and see if that helps it. I really don't want to hard reset and not sure when the problem started.

EDIT: If I go into the Pictures & Viewers program, they show up fine. Just can't click on them in File Explorer. Is this normal? On my Mogul I could click on the pic and it would bring up the Pictures & Viewers program automatically.

Re: Viewing pictures

I think you really need to hard reset the phone and bring it back to the factory settings but do back back up as darren said....spb backup works amazing.

Re: Viewing pictures

Alright, thanks guys! I've heard of SPB backup and use a lot of their programs. I had heard though that if you back it up and then restore it, you can restore the faulty issue too. Is this true? That's one reason I've never used a back up program and just reinstalled programs individually.

You probably have pictures on your microSD card from another phone, get rid of them and see if you still have the issue. I had pictures left over from my Mogul and it would restart after the 3rd photo every time. I don't know who suggested that fix here first, but I did see it on this site originally.
