Re: Movies on TP
TCPMP out-preforms coreplayer even though it is supposed to be an update. Where did I get this info? Testing. I took 3 anime anime episodes from my computer. In avi, mkv and mp4 formats. Their audio was 192kbps and their resolution was reduced to 320 x 240.
While playing ok with an occasional stutter with core player, it played flawless with tcpmp. I've had numerous times when coreplayer will not support playback while tcpmp did. There is no way in hell I'll pay again for a downgrade. |

Re: Movies on TP
I've used the newest coreplayer - but I've had no luck playing unconverted videos like I used to play on my 6700 using TCPMP.
To me, it seems to be a waste to convert videos below the resolution of the screen. A waste both of viewing quality and conversion time. I heard that Coreplayer will try to take advantage of the Touch Pro's gpu in future revisions, but until then - video on this device will be a disappointment. |
