Re: TP + GPS Photo

I've used Shozu for geotagging since my mogul. Just tested it and works great on touch pro. It's a one-stop shop, take picture, shozu geotags it for you, then sends it to your flickr, photobucket, facebook, twitter, picasaweb site or whatever you use. It's great. No more manually uploading pics. Just make sure you tick the checkbox in shozu to enable geotagging.

they have a crazy laundry lists of sites they can automagically upload your stuff to.

What did you try..only GPSToday or GeoTagger as well? Both anf the GeoLogger also although I never got the chance to try it
What exactly did not work? GPSToday showed only one address all the time even after changing the setting to get quik fix, set it to get a fix automatically, after 1 min and after 5 min, nothing changed.
Did it even install successfully? I believe so, because it showed one correct address.
Did you get at least one good GPS fix in GPSToday? Yes.
Upon installing the geotagger were you able to browse recently taken pictures and attempt to manually geotag them? No did not try that, do not know that I could do that either.

Thanks
But I remembered something when I was answering the last questoin, that it did actually work correctly one day and tagged 2 photos correctly and automatically.

Also I the weather worked fine.

I did try it today too, same issues.

Thank YOU.

Re: TP + GPS Photo

Please download the latest release of the geotagger from

http://m.geoterrestrial.com/geotagger/

This has been now verified to work fine in auto-mode even for pictures tagged with zeroes.

Thanks

I wish I did not get the 0,0,0 readings.

I second this, if anyone knows it would be of great help. It never puts the proper coordinates in the EXIF data.

It was never intended to work, that's why.

Use GPSToday, or Footprints, or one of the other dozen programs that do this for free.

It's not really an option... you had to hack it just to show up..

Honestly, I find GPSToday to be MUCH better, plus it offers other features.

You don't have to sit there and wait for a GPS lock to take a picture. That was annoying. It does it afterwards. Footprints is a joke, and even more annoying. I keep coming back to GPSToday.

works well. took a while to set up but in the end, I have geotagged pics in facebook. I never liked GPS today... so this is ok. One thing to note, shozu does not embed the lat/lon in the photo but rather it adds it in a tag. what this means is that if you take the pic with Shozu and save rather than upload there will be no geotag info in the file when you open it in Exif.

Re: TP + GPS Photo

I'm not 100% sure why I want to geotag a photo? So it puts the coordinates into the photo well then what? Can I load the photo into Google earth or something? I guess I'm asking what good does it do?
