Touch PRO vs. Diamond Battery Life (Those who have/had both)

Anyone switch from the diamond to the pro? I am thinking about switching. I am on my second Diamond, the first one the screen went blank and bad battery life, the second one the usb port is messed up sometimes it will read/charge and sometimes it will not and bad battery life.

I was wondering if the Pro has the same battery issues and if the battery life is any better?

I had the Diamond for a month and a day. I really like the speed of the Diamond, but I was running a Juicy ROM and battery life was significantly increased. The battery on the Touch Pro is about the same as the Diamond with Juicy's Rom, but I think it is a little slower than the Diamond. It is still plenty quicker than the Mogul was. I just can't wait to flash a custom ROM.

I've had two different Diamonds with custom rom's for abouit 5 weeks total (still have one). The speed of the touch pro is much better and smoother for me. Battery life is also better, I get about a day and a half out of a charge.

I think the battery life and speed is much better on the TP than the Diamond.

I don't see how the battery life with the Touch Pro would be any better considering they both have the exact same battery.

when reading people's opinion here, you have to be careful. sometime it just exagerated.

some people using Juicy Rom or Verizon Radio said that battery is much better. that is exagerated. I know this because I tried both. it is small improvement, not "MUCH BETTER".

to say Pro battery is "MUCH BETTER" than Diamond is also exagerated. battery size is the same and hardware is also almost the same. how can battery be much better?

at this point, no ROM or Radio can make a big improvement yet. it is too early. at least 6 moths or a year later, an upgraded ROM or radio can make some noticable improvement.

Extend battery is the best bet.

I think the Pro's battery life is better than the Diamond as well. I have both devices in front of me.

I recently switched from the Diamond to the Pro.
The Pro is a totally better phone. The battery life is better and the slide out keyboard makes texting alot easier, the functions are smoother. So go with the pro.

True but they don't have the same radio. I had a Diamond and the stock radio sucked battery like crazy. I out the Verizon radio on with the stock rom and saw a big improvement, the the Sprint TP radio is newer than the Verizon one that people were using on the Diamond with Juicy's rom
