Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

Has anybody else had problems with the option to display reminders on the screen being lost? This is under sounds & notifications, notifications tab, then select reminders and check the "display message on screen".

I've set it and lost it about 4 or more times now in the 5 days since I've got the Touch Pro. I've not found a pattern yet, it's not consistent that I can tell yet. It's not a soft boot causing it for sure, that was one theory but I've tested it and it stays after a boot but then about 2 hours later it was gone again. Very frustrating.

I've loaded some tools on the phone but can't think of any that could do this, nothing to do with buttons or notifications so far. And I dread trying to call this in to Sprint.

Thanks!

Re: Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

Yeah I've been having this problem as well. I usually check the box for text messages to pop up on screen and it does stay for a little while but then all of a sudden I will get a text and it doesn't display anything. Hopefully there's a reg hack that can fix this. I'm just guessing that touchflo is taking priority over some of the on screen notifications.

Re: Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

the sms pop up box is supposed to be disabled on the pro and diamond because manila handles new sms/email alerts. who wants that ugly box popping up over the nice manila.

Re: Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

Because if your running s2u2 replying to a new sms is easier by hitting reply after the bubble pops up as opposed to unlocking the phone then sliding to the messages tab and replying. I mean it's really not that big of a deal. It's just a little more efficient to me.

He actually said reminders, not message notifications. I'm assuming things like appointment and calendar reminders.

Also, alarm reminders.

I have also had my settings reset back to defaults after changing them. And it's frustrating!

Yes my key issue is on reminders for calendar items but I suspect from what others are saying its not just that. If it is the new interface taking control why so inconsistant? It's been 12+ hours now and one soft boot since I re-enabled them and they still work for now.

For more details, the key issue to me is if a reminder fires without the pop up message you get only the sound but don't know what it is, and have to go thru a few steps to get at it. With the pop up you see it and just click dismiss/snooze right there nice and fast.

I'll keep any eye out for any pattern and post back if I find one.

Re: Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

I don't get popups either. Sometimes I do get the notification bubble at the top. sometimes not.

Re: Reminders Notification - Losing Display on Screen

Looks like this thread has died out a bit. Has anyone found a solution? Or even identified a pattern for when they reset?
