Re: Promblems Answering phone

Well, I have left my phone completely stock, no tweaks or anything yet and I didn't have this problem until today. I have missed 3-4 calls due to trying to answer with the screen before I realized hitting hard button was working. No clue why it isn't working all of a suddon but it shows the button depress but just dosn't answer. Can't wait for n2c to get a good rom out.

I understand no tweaks but have you installed any programs?

Re: Promblems Answering phone

I have this problem also. I have to touch the on screen button and the hard button multiple times before it will answer. and the screen button is definitely doing something because the ring actually turns off and the button highlights when I push it, but it doesn't answer the phone. quite annoying to have a phone that works great for everything EXCEPT the phone feature. haha

I've done several soft resets, but to no avail. I'm trying to hold out on the hard reset as it's a pain to install all the programs again. note, i don't have s2u2. anyone have a solution?

Re: Promblems Answering phone

s2u2 is the culprit. I had the same problem with my touch and that's what was causing it. I just don't use it because once it starts doing that I could never figure out how to get it to stop. I just uninstalled it all together

Re: Promblems Answering phone

I've seen this problem with Schap's Advanced Config since it seems to muck with a connection setting... here's some more details on the matter...
  • Issues with answering your phone when a data connection is open (answer buttons don't do anything)? Looks like a tweak messes up a registry key that affects this. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Planner\Settings], make sure SuspendResume is set to #777 (not anything containing GPRS). This issue seems to be related to Advanced Config. source
I have S2U2 1.33 installed and working perfectly fine, however. I'd be willing to post a full list of my settings on here if there's a discrepancy on the matter.

Re: Promblems Answering phone

Thanks, I made this change to the registry and did a soft reset. The phone is still very slow to answer, had to press 3 - 4 times before it finally answered.

Re: Promblems Answering phone

agreed Schap's Advanced Config does cause this sort of problem also. this will happen if you mess with how your phone interacts with data. Don't know if you have this installed but it can cause this to happen
