Re: Visual Voicemail
Currently the answer is that it's not available for anything but the Instinct. I don't understand why Sprint wouldn't bother to port it to more phones, but they haven't yet. Supposedly that's the only phone they're doing it on. I think the Diamond and Touch Pro are closer to an iPhone competitor than the Instinct, but I guess since they sunk all their money into that phone, they're giving it the exclusive competing functions. Too bad, because I want it.

You can check out this site (found while researching in anticipation of trading Instinct for Touch Pro).

Re: Visual Voicemail
YouMail is a pretty good service. I've been using it for about a month on my Centro. I just got my Pro today, and have not really tries out the mobile interface of YouMail yet. I love the transcription feature on it though. Hopefully the mobile interface (which only worked so-so with the Centro) will be a good thing on the Pro.

Re: Visual Voicemail
Do you get charged the 20 cents per call from Spring for having your call forwarded? The service seems awesome, but I don't want to get stuck paying that fee from Sprint.

Re: Visual Voicemail
I think visual voice mail is not widely available because of licensing... Right now there's one company providing the service and apple has rights to use it and implement it to the ATT voice mail service. I remember reading this somewhere that "Sprint aquired the licenses" to use visual voicemail for the instinct. So I don't think it's a question of choice, it's a questions of availability.
