Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

If we all ***** loud enough maybe HTC would come out with a replacement battery door, something more solid.

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

My back cover creaked really bad, but I've reduced it with painter's tape, as Edwood suggested. It's come back a little bit...perhaps from the tape compressing over time. I'll try adding some more.

On a related note though, I've also got creaking from the chrome around the screen half of the phone. On the bottom of this chrome piece (where the mic hole is), if I press on the chrome it squeeks. I can even see it move in towards the body just a little. I'm not sure how I could fix this. Does anyone else have this problem?

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

i'm having similar problems like bkrodgers. This is my second phone with the same problem, though my battery does last longer. I can live with it so i'm going to ask for a credit instead of them having to send me a new one.

Yep I noticed that too, right under the send/end buttons

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

Well Since nobody is posting a pic of how to do this, I think I will
This is my remedy, I used electrical tape. If you use the good kind it wont get sticky. Even with my phone getting hot it has stayed perfect and not gotten sticky. And I think the rubbery feeling of electrical tape gives it more cushion and prevents the breakdown like some have had and ended up adding more tape. Just my 2cents

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

Mine is creaky as heck. I did the painter's tape fix but it still creaks because you can only put so much tape before the back cover distorts. Overall I'm learning to ignore it, but I'd rather it weren't there at all.

Perhaps someone can make a solid metal back cover which doubles as a heatsink

Re: Who's Battery Cover "Clicks"?

My TP creaks right by the battery. I found that even without the battery cover, the battery itself will creak. Maybe this is why the Diamond's battery cover has a bulge right where the battery rests, to keep it from creaking.

The creaking problem hasn't bothered me that much yet, but sometimes I do find it annoying.

I posted a thread about the tape fix, but it got deleted for some reason.
