Sorry if it came off that way, but I would think that from my thanks to z28marols1 for his help one could tell that I am not like that.

Re: Battery & Performance hacks - all cabed up for my friends

I've had my TP for 3 days, first 2 were stock and the battery life sucked, installed this cab and now I get a significantly longer battery life out of it. used it on my titan and loved it. great work thnx

Re: Battery & Performance hacks - all cabed up for my friends

Just installed the .cab, I hope it works. I can play games on my phone for half an hour and I'll lose a bar (or two). And my phone cant go more than about 8 hours without use. I need to try deep cycling the battery, but due to my job, its REALLY hard to find the time to do that.

The .cab seems to help a little. But I still killed my phone in 3-4 hours today with 1 call and a few dozen texts. Its getting ridiculous.

Re: Battery & Performance hacks - all cabed up for my friends

AmnDucky: make sure you allow your phone to fully discharge every once in a while. I'm definitely no expert on the batteries and don't know which ones suffer from memory or whatever, but it can't hurt.

Also, if your phone is dying FAST take it in to get checked out and have them look at the battery as well.

One thing to take into consideration is your signal strength. if you're switching between 1x and evdo often, it might be a cause of it.

try changing your radio to see if that'll improve and make sure you kill all minimized programs running in the background

Re: Battery & Performance hacks - all cabed up for my friends

LION/NiMH bat's normally don't suffer from the memory effect its only the NiCd bats that do. All tho letting a LiOn bat drain down to near dead wont hurt it. I've been told just don't let it go completly dead as this can hurt the cells inside. I put wiki's below for further reading if anyone was interested.

LiOn - Lithium Ion - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithium_ion_battery
NiMh - NickleMetal Hidroxcide - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NiMH
NiCd - NickleMetal Cadmimum(sp) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NiCd

Are you running data all the time like email check every 5 minutes? You must have something else running to kill battery. I have 10-20 emails , 5 text, and phone calls 15 a day(Hour) and after 12 hours still have around 40-45% charge. Try to find all running processes and list them.
