Yeah, I'm really on the fence on swapping. I don't expect it to fix the heat, as that's a design problem of some kind. But I've seen people report getting ones that don't have a creaky battery door, and I'd love to have one that doesn't require a whole bunch of painter's tape to stay quiet. The chrome down by the send/end keys isn't tight either, so it creaks as well. Plus my slider is looser than I'd like and the chrome has a subtle crack.

Overall it works OK though. I have had a problem where on a couple of occasions the phone has just shut down on its own and goes through the boot sequence when I try to turn it back on, despite a full battery. That may be a more valid reason to swap. But in terms of the build quality issues, I question whether they've really improved it in more recent builds or if it's just a crapshoot. Mine's 10/18, so there are certainly newer builds out there.
