Re: Wm Wifi Router

yeah im pretty sick of everyone trying to be a mod around here. if someone aint smart enough to read the rules then shame on them let em get banned. i love when people try to tell me what to do and when to do it like they are a mod here and only have like 50 posts. i mean seriously some people here need to go sit down and think about life.

anyways the google the .91 version. like i said its a free version. i wont post it even though it isnt considered (shhhhh dont say the "W" word) because it was free. just google it and youll find it and it works perfect in VGA on the diamond and pro

Re: Tethering with WMWifiRouter .91

Hey, i installed wmwifirouter .91 then upgraded to the newest one (trial version) and now my wifi in general isnt really working. When i try to search for my home router just to surf the internet on it, nothing shows up. My neighbors network doesnt show up either. It says Networks to access: and no matter which one i click, nothing comes up

As far as paying for the app, I would except it costs 30USD. That is beyond what is reasonable for this software, seeing as I can already tether via USB cable. I guess I will continue to work on .91 and/or the other program ICS control
i get the same error you get..." error waiting for ICS and it sits there, although it boots up ICS and enables it."

Did you find any solutions?

Re: Tethering with WMWifiRouter .91

Look under Program dude, it is called Inrernet Sharing...btw, did you guys create an ad-hoc connection? I have no prob using wimwifi, I do not ehave to go to ICS at all. I just make sure internet is connected by launching Pie, I turn on wifi and make sure it is connected to my ad-hoc connection, hit wifirouter and that is that...

Re: Tethering with WMWifiRouter .91

Hey Wave0 You must go to your wifi and set up a new connection, ad-hoc connection using a specific ip 192.168.0.1. also, I am sure you did the reg modification that are posted on the TP essentials.
Basically what I said earlier, my steps are as follow after setting up that ad hoc joint:
I launch Pie and close it
I turn on Wifi/ make sure that ad-hoc only is selected in the bottom, not access point, immediately I see that the ad-hoc connection is showing connected, close that out
And go to WIMOWIFIROUTER and click connect..5 seconds or 10 later lappy is happy and sees the same ad-hoc connection and all is good. No disconnect or heating prob hours at a time...If you continue to have prob let me know I will be able to get you some more detailed info...

Thanks! This appears to work, at least on wmwifirouter it now says ready. I'll try to connect it to my notebook when I get home.
