I used regular soft soap.
Before the cleaning, I had fingerprints, dog hair and black ink spots from a magazine I had placed the SP on while wet. So since I had nothing to lose as the SP was shot, I simply turned on the faucet, put some soft soap on my finger, and kept wiping the SP until all that came off. I should add I had to repeat this 3 or 4 times before it was truly clean.
No problems after that!
