Make sure the screen is absolutely clean.
Make a VERY weak soap solution, like 1 drop dawn to 1 8 oz glass of pure water. In this case, less is more. It's just to break the surface tension of the water.
Use a sprayer, like a windex sprayer or something like it. A real nice small one came with the Zagg invisible shield kit, and I still have it.
OK, the important part.
SPRAY YOUR FINGERS so the shield doesn't stick to them. Spray the back and front of the protector so it's just misted all over. DON'T spray the phone directly, you'll get water where you really don't want it.
This is what worked for me on 2 TP's.
I started at the bottom against the little ridge by the hard keys and centered it left to right.
I rolled about 3/4 inch up the screen and then used a squeegee (again, came from Zagg, but a credit card would do as well) to force the protector down onto the screen from the center of this area out towards the edges. This causes the protector to stick in this area and guarantees alignment for the remaining screen area.
Gradually work your way to the top squeezing the water out as you go to the sides and up.
Use a tissue to dry the edges of the drops of water that squeeze out.
In a day or so, any remaining water (minor) under the screen protector will have evaporated and you will be left with a perfect surface with no bubbles at all, and no dust.
Thanks for the advice. I am thinking i will have to order a new screen protector online as mine does not stick around the edges anymore after numerous attempts to get it right. I was looking at the ones from http://www.thepocketsolution.com/PSI...Protector.html . I will try this method one time before I buy them, however. Hopefully it works this time

The ones you linked to are the Touch Pro, not the Touch Pro 2!

So there is not a single company that makes screen protectors for the TP2 yet? Is there any way to order some more stock HTC ones?

hey just figured I would put in my 2cents.....i tossed the one that came with it and went on ebay to look around and found that there are alot of custom cut protector you can get. i bought a mirrored one that was real easy to put on with just enough room for error! so check it out if your a registered ebay user and look for "custom cut" protectors. the mirrored ones look really nice too if you so choose. good luck

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

im actually very surprised at the number of people that have problems and screw up screen protector installs, regardless of what phone it is. Maybe im just spoiled to the ease of this task because i do my own window tint (the proceedure is the same). all you have to do is mix up some soapy water in a spray bottle and lightly spray the screen, your fingertips, and the screen protector. Lay the protector on the phone and it will slide around very easy. Once you have it in the position you want, push down with your finger on one corner and use a credit card or rubber squeegie to push the excess liquid and air bubbles outwards from the center. wipe away excess liquid and let it dry overnight. This procedure works for both sticky and non sticky protectors, however, non sticky protectors take longer to "stick" so MAKE SURE they sit overnight. sticky protectors can be used immediately, just easy on the pressure or you may inadvertently move it.

hey marcehredt, can you link us or tell us the brand of the mirrored screen protector you got? I am most interested as the stock protector still gets scratched even after all the trouble to go on...

no prob... here is a good ebay link you should check out. ive even ordered quite a few time out of HongKong and the shipping is very fast considering the distance. like i said the "custom cut" protectors are the ones to look for. very good fit. very easy to apply. i promise! best way to go. heres the link:

http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?LH_BIN=1...=p4999.c0.m283

hope this helps you out. good luck

i believe the 4th item down on the list is the brand and style i bought in the link

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

the ones i bought actual come with a static-cleaning pad that u dry-wipe your screen with. cleans your screen from all "kling ons" and adds more natural static to your screen. you can reapply as many times as needed without damaging your protector. very painless, just peal...and apply.

Re: Sprint Touch Pro Stock Screen Protector a Major PITA to install

I got it right on the first shot.. started from the top centered on the speaker opening. Used an area with bright lighting so I could see the edges.. fell right in.. guess I got lucky....
